10 Keys to a Successful Exhibit

These top 10 items may seem very basic, but they are essential to the success of your exhibit. If you apply these items each time you exhibit you will immediately notice improved results! If you are already following this Top 10 list, then kudos to you; pass this list on to someone else who can use some pointers!

1.) Design your exhibit with open, inviting spaces to entice attendees into your exhibit where your staff can interact with them.

2.) Use bold, attention grabbing graphics to deliver key messages.

3.) Use lighting to highlight new products and guide prospects to significant areas of the exhibit.

4.) Use color schemes that complement your corporate image and branding.

5.) Keep your logo and key messages towards the top of the display.

6.) Simple, bold and easy to read messaging. Use a font that can easily be read from many feet away.

7.) Write messages that provoke questions, and describe the benefits to the prospect.

8.) Use 1-3 key benefits of your product, rather than a list of features.

9.) Use multimedia presentations to grab the attention of attendees and demonstrate your company’s products.

10.)Keep your exhibit clean and clutter free. Remove cups, loose papers and other items that are not essential.

As you can see, these are actually very basic concepts that can be applied to any booth, across any industry. Most are easily employed with a simple change of graphics or copy. Picture how easily these concepts can be integrated into your current exhibit.

Keep in mind this list only covers part of what the most successful exhibitors are applying to their exhibits. There are many other variables to making exhibits successful. Start with great planning and strategy meetings, booth staff training, effective lead handling and follow up processes. Finish with reporting and analysis of the results of each show so the exhibit program can grow and become more successful.
